Troop formation to play “Triangle War” for the long range city level 26-29 is “1-1-98” formation with maximum t9 cannons plus 2k T8 EMP and 5k T8 snipers. Formation is the same for the defense and for the attack, but of course, for the defense you can ad a bit more front line troops:
This is just an example. Since these formations are affected by a lot of additional factors (Officers, Equipment, etc.), you need to find your ideal soldier formation when testing attacks:
- Melee (Front Row):
- 10x tank
- 10.000x shredder
- 10x armored soldier (ufoman)
- 10x infantry (axeman)
- Medium (Middle Row):
- 5.000x t8 rocket launcher
- 10.000x t9 storm trooper
- 10x raider (bike)
- 10x gunner (or experiment with 5k t9 gunner)
- maximum zombies
- Long Range (Back Row):
- 2k t8 EMP
- 5k t8 Snipers
- 10x Shielders
- Maximum t9 cannon
Troop formation to play “Triangle War” for the long range city level 30+:
- 50-100k melee (t10+)
- t10 rockets (20-50k)
- t10 emp (max)
- t11 cannon (max)
- t10 snipers (25-50k)
- rest 10-100
- max zombies
Wrong information and Tip. !MOST! cities damage per second will not outperform their melee HP survival per second. Therefore, more front, keeps the fight running longer and intact your back-row and allows more damage to be dealt across the attacks.

There is a lot of different opinions on best fleet formation for Triangle Wars (or almost every battle situation beside basic events like Iron Grip & Mother of Doom. Even there, great minds don’t get along. One thing is sure: There is not REALLY a best fleet setup. I dare to say this simply because all unit type have their specifications. So basically, to know what would be the best fleet setup you would have to custom it after a scout of the enemy. You would take his COMPLETE infos (number of troops type, stats , effective officers breakthrough, details on titans & warplane) and then try to counter it the best that you can with yours. Let say I fight an enemy that has pretty much only snipers. Then a maximum of rockets would be needed, and a frontline built of multiple frontline unit type to absorb the enemy snipers first few attacks while my rocketeers kills them. Now do that with all units that will be on the battlefield and you will have the “best fleet setup… ….for this battle only!”
That’s why this game is so much fun. It is way too complex to sustain such a simple answer theory. Every fight has its particularity. So do your homework, study tons of battle reports, look at reviews to analyze battle dynamics, try to figure out as many variable as possible. Then go for it!
Oh and don’t forget to have fun!
