PRELIMINARY CONCLUSIONS:

  • Camel has introduced a new merge schedule once again. Since the end of Global Conquest, merges have been happening differently each time. In March 2024, merges occurred one day before the GC Finals (the finalists didn’t participate in the merge). In August 2024, merges happened 13 days after the GC Finals ended. In December 2024, players had to wait 27 days after the GC Finals. It seems likely we’ll see only two merge phases between GCs again. Why was there a two-week delay compared to August 2024? This remains unclear. The list of nations scheduled for merging doesn’t show anything out of the ordinary. If Camel isn’t introducing anything new to the game, it appears more like a calendar shift between GCs to accommodate two merge phases;
  • Camel continues the pattern of having one merge of old nations (400+) and several (2–3) merges in the 701–800 range for nations undergoing their second world merge. Let me remind you that two merges for new nations since July 2023 typically mean four nations, which is equivalent to one triple merge, as was done prior to April 2023;
  • The youngest open nation to get a world merge remains 1046 (merged in August 2024). This was an anomaly. Now, nation 1041 is being added as one of the youngest nations for merging;
  • The merge list will include Chinese nations, with the full list to be revealed after the official announcement. Traditionally, it should feature some of the newest Chinese nations, in the 1200+ range;
  • Nation 779 still hasn’t received its first world merge. They’ve been playing for over two years. Considering that the closest nations, which also hadn’t merged yet, have now received merges, there’s a chance that nation 779 will be merged with a nation that has already undergone its first merge (700+). A similar situation occurred in August 2024 with nation 740. Nation 744 (2 nations) was merged with 740 (1 nation);
  • The merge of 443 + 473 worsens the situation for five old nations still waiting for their second world merge (429, 431, 437, 541, 552). I’d like to point out that the merge involved two nations with a BP of around 9 billion and a Win Rate (Void War + Frenzy) below 60%. Now, a 541 + 552 merge seems more likely (BP around 8 billion and a Win Rate of about 70%). Meanwhile, the situation with 429, 431, 437 appears to have hit a deadlock. These nations’ BP ranges between 12.8-14.1 billion, which is quite high compared to the surrounding nations, especially since these worlds each have three fewer nations (one merge vs two merges). Win Rates make the situation even more confusing: 429 = 82%, 431 = 64%, 437 = 40%. Personally, I’d bet on a 541+552 merge in the next phase, while the deadlock around 429, 431, 437 might only move after the next GC event;
  • However, betting on a 779 merge right after GC also seemed like a winning strategy, but it didn’t happen. I should note that BP and Win Rate are indirect indicators that do not directly affect the merging of worlds, but they are indicators that help to quickly distinguish between nations.

So, we’ll have to wait for Camel’s next move.

  1. Is it a possibility that camel could follow suit in the next merger and just merge the current unmerged nations with the next sequential unmerged nation? So 779 would merge with 880…..882 with 896… and so on? I’m in 880 and although we haven’t been waiting as long as 779, it feels like an eternity lol. Also any suggestions on what we can do as a nation to encourage a merger?
